Resources · Materials & conformity
Partalum connectors and fittings are manufactured in extruded and alloy aluminum, hot-dip galvanized forged steel, bronze and copper. Each material is chosen for its electrical or mechanical function and works to conformity with applicable CFE specifications and NMX-ANCE standards.
Materials
Four materials cover the whole line: aluminum for conduction, galvanized forged steel for the structural fittings, and bronze and copper for connection and grounding.

It is the anti-corrosion coating of Partalum's structural fittings. The forged steel part is submerged in molten zinc, forming a bonded metallurgical layer that protects the fitting outdoors for decades.
Applies to transmission and substation fittings: clevises, shackles, links, yoke plates and tension and dead-end clamps.
Clevises, shackles, links, yoke plates and tensioners are formed in forged steel for a mechanical strength of 80 to 480 KN.
The clean part is submerged in molten zinc; the zinc reacts with the steel and forms a bonded metallurgical layer, not just a surface coating.
The zinc layer protects the fitting against corrosion in lines and substations exposed to the environment throughout its service life.
Company certification
At the company level, Partalum's quality management system is certified under ISO 9001:2015 and it is an approved supplier of CFE's LAPEM. These credentials belong to the company and are distinct from product conformity with CFE and NMX-ANCE specifications.
Quality management system certified under NMX-CC-9001-IMNC:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. The certification is of the company’s quality system, not of a specific product.
Partalum is an approved supplier of LAPEM, the Equipment and Materials Testing Laboratory of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
Product conformity
At the product level, Partalum declares conformity of its materials and products with the reference specification (CFE or NMX-ANCE): the material, the finish and the mechanical strength correspond to that specification. This product conformity is distinct from company certification (ISO 9001:2015) and from LAPEM supplier approval. Where a project requires a formal record, it is arranged against the indicated specification.
FAQ
Fittings are structural: they hold the conductor and make up the insulator chain, so they are made of galvanized forged steel for its mechanical strength (80–480 KN) and corrosion protection. Connectors carry electricity, so they are made of aluminum, bronze or copper — materials with low contact resistance.
Partalum fittings are hot-dip galvanized: the part is submerged in molten zinc and forms a bonded metallurgical layer, thicker and more durable than electrolytic galvanizing, suitable for outdoor exposure.
Partalum declares material conformity with the reference specification. For project-specific records or certificates, contact us.
